Jewelry Care
Silver
Silver is a living metal, with time it naturally develops a patina when esposed to air or sulfur. One of the simplest ways to keep its radiance is to wear your silver often- you natural oils act as a protective barrier. For safekeeping, place your jewelery in an airtight pouch or bag. A small piece of chalk wil help absord moistaure and further guard against tarnish. Should your silver lose its shine, we recommend polishing gently. You can use a very soft brush.
Brass
Brass naturally develops a rich patina over time. If you prefer a brighter look, try to keep your brass jewelry dry and away from water. To restore its gold shine, a commercial brass cleaner works beautifully, we love Sunshine cloth or simichrome polishing paste. In its absence a soft tooth brush with a little toothpaste, or even a quick soak in white vinegar and baking soda can help bring back the glow.
